MICROCOSM Conference
MICROCOSM is a global design, tech, and audio conference set to debut in late 2023 at the newly expanded Washington State Convention Center. The primary aim of the conference is to bring people together from different creative fields, facilitate collaboration, mentorship, learning, and progress. The event will take place over three days filled with music, community, speaking events, and workshops.

From this concept, I developed a principle-based identity system for the conference's debut based on the concepts of connection and exploration.

Logos & Identity

The M logo is created in one curvilinear stroke, similar to a wire, cord, or string. The interplay between this mark and the motif of a winding cord forms the basic premise for the graphic quality of this identity system.

The M mark can be used as a container for images as well as a structure around which the cord can wrapped and tangled.

Installed Animation

During keynotes, subtle animations can be projected onto screens. Each of these animations will utilize the components of the identity in different ways depending on the type of topic or the speaker's area of interest. In this example designed for Jaron Lanier's keynote, the shapes move along grid lines, which is more evocative of wires or circuits.
